2026 Tournament Rules

1. This tournament will be open to all members of any local USBC chartered association in the State of New Mexico and will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the United States Bowling Congress. Non-members who reside in the jurisdiction of these associations can become eligible by the purchase of an appropriate USBC membership (full or local/state). A USBC member who is a non-resident of New Mexico may participate in the tournament by paying the local/state dues.
2. Entrants are eligible to bowl unlimited times in doubles and singles but only twice in team event for this tournament; however, you must change partners for doubles and at least 2 people for team to cash again. Entrants may cash in singles only once. Multiple entrants may only enter All-Events once, and the first time bowling will count as the All-Events score regardless of when entries are paid.
3. You MUST have reached your 50th birthday by the reserved entry close date to be eligible to bowl in the tournament.
4. Handicap is 90% of the difference between the highest certified average and 220.
   
   a. Previous season’s highest standard or adjusted sport/challenge average for 21 games or more.
   b. If no previous season average, use the highest current season average at time of participation based on 12 games.
   c. If none of these applies, bowler will use 220 and bowl scratch.
5. All bowlers should be familiar with USBC Rule 319. Sections a, b, and c apply. Sections d and e do not apply. Rule 319c will be strictly enforced.
6. Entry Fee must accompany entry form.
7. There will be six divisions based on age. These divisions apply to Singles and All-Events Only. Team and Doubles will have two divisions. Date of birth for each bowler must be shown on the entry form.
8. Participants must be members in good standing of the USBC and agree to bowl on lanes assigned to them. Memberships will be verified.
9. The prize ratio is one for each ten entries, and prize fees are returned 100%.
10. Late entries allowed subject to availability of lanes up to one hour before squad. Cash or credit card only.
11. Members of the Board of Directors of NMUSBC require all bowlers to wear suitable attire while participating in the tournament.
12. The entrants whose names appear on this entry or their authorized replacement agree that the New Mexico State USBC shall be liable only to the extent of returned entry fees if entrants are prevented from bowling due to circumstances beyond the control of NMUSBC.
13. NMUSBC Tournament Management shall decide any question not covered by these rules and may hear and act on all protests.
14. All Events Champions Male and Female from all six age divisions will have their entry fee paid by the New Mexico State USBC to the National Senior Tournament.
15. Bracket winnings of $10.00 or under not picked up at the tournament will not be sent to the bowler.
16. ALL RULES NOT COVERED BY THE ABOVE WILL BE COVERED BY THE CURRENT USBC PLAYING RULES BOOK.
